This itinerary combines the wildlife of Assam with the natural beauty of Meghalaya, offering a mix of adventure and exploration.

Day 1
Arrive at Guwahati Airport (GAU) and transfer directly to Kaziranga National Park (approx. 5-6 hours).
Check in to your resort and relax.
In the evening, you can visit a nearby tea garden or a local village.

Day 2
Start your day with an early morning Elephant Safari (must be booked in advance) in the Kohora or Bagori range for the best chance of spotting the one-horned rhinoceros.
Return to the resort for breakfast.
In the afternoon, go for a thrilling Jeep Safari to explore the central or western range of the park, where you can spot rhinos, wild elephants, swamp deer, and various birds.

Day 3
After breakfast, check out from the resort.
Drive from Kaziranga to Shillong. The long drive is scenic, passing through the green plains of Assam and then ascending into the hills of Meghalaya.
On the way, stop at Umiam Lake for a boat ride or just to admire the view.
Check in to your hotel in Shillong and rest.

Take a full-day excursion to Cherrapunji.
Visit the beautiful Seven Sisters Falls, the majestic Nohkalikai Falls, and explore the ancient Mawsmai Caves.
Return to Shillong by evening.

After breakfast, check out and drive back to Guwahati.
On your way to the airport, visit the revered Kamakhya Temple on Nilachal Hill, one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in the country.
